I live in Norway so news from the States doesnt always get to me right away. I have stumbled on the publishing phenomenon The Shack by William P. Young. Does any one in Faith in Fiction have an opinion on this book? How do you understand this as Christian fiction? There seems to be much praise heaped on it together with claims that it is heresy. Can anyone tell me what is going on? I would be interested in Daves opinion. Maybe this is the great breakthrough in Christian fiction for that we, who have been yearning to write outside the CBA box have been waiting. Or

My husband is reading The Shack on the couch behind me. He just said, "Oh wow." Now he's reading me a passage. Here's the funny thing...My
husband never reads. In fact, he calls me a nerd when I read. (Out of love, of course.) Dan started the book last night. He read until 2:00 a.m.. He was upset
that he had plans to go to a movie with a buddy tonight because he wanted to read the book. He's not going to sleep tonight until he finishes it. Dan is
crying now. I love this book already, and I haven't even read it.
